I am self-motivated, organised, and confident in the work that I do. Over the last two years, I have progressed because I connect well with people, use my initiative, generate ideas and solutions, and have successfully and efficiently organised shoots in the UK and Europe. I am able to negotiate access, gain permissions, and have experience working with talent.
Having 'completed' history academically, I moved into TV full-time. From Horrible Histories to Antiques Road Trip, and Victorian burials to beekeeping, I’ve gained a wide range of storytelling experience. I can find, digest, write up, and pitch stories. My background means I can process a lot of information at a high level and articulate those findings for colleagues and audiences. I can navigate the differences between TV and academia and contact those hard-to-reach experts.
Whilst my specialism is history, I have adapted to different topics for Crime and Travel shows.
I am primarily based in Glasgow, but happy to move around as required. I also have a great work-from-home set-up, and I'm adept at supporting Series Producers/ Directors and PDs both in person and remotely, in the office and on location.
I love working on narratives and thinking editorially. I love working with new people, learning new things, gaining skills, and challenging myself. I am happy in AP roles but also looking to progress into Producer roles.
