Read MoreHello,I’m Jack Maguire, a highly skilled self-taught videographer from Manchester with a skill set founded on motion design, which I studied at University.In Summer 2012, I had just graduated, all set to enter the industry so I began contacting the various people and creative studios I had met. I was offered the position of 2D Animator at Holdens Agency and now, fast forward to 2019, I now hold the position of Senior Motion Designer & Videographer where I’ve helped oversee a huge growth in the quality of video content produced.During projects, I often oversee and collaborate with a team to maintain design, storytelling quality over animation, live action and photography. I have a keen eye for attention to detail and, when working under pressure, I can often think of finesses that might otherwise not be thought of until too late. On most video projects I tend encompass the roles of Director, Camera Operator and Editor, creating a vision and seeing it through to completion.Films are a great passion of mine, I’ve grown up watching the newest and most interesting films at the cinema from a very young age. This has given me an appetite for larger than life narratives and an eye for storytelling detail, particularly over long-form storylines. I want to create more films, to develop my sensibilities as a film maker and to find out where telling stories within this medium can take me.I’m a video creator with a passion for detail and purpose, and an editor with the narrative always in focus. My long-term ambition is to become a fully fledged Film Director - one that creates a calm, comfortable environment for the entire crew while everyone is excited by why the story is being told.
