A confident and reliable producer and an experienced (NCTJ-qualified) journalist and author specialising and passionate about true crime, current affairs and investigative stories. My extensive experience in the true crime genre have resulted in a firm understanding of media law and Ofcom regulations, but also come with forensic-like research skills and excellent problem-solving abilities when faced with the challenging demands of complex stories.

Having worked in the true crime genre for almost ten years, an area I am deeply passionate about, I am highly experienced in researching and understanding sensitive subject matters and am well-known for my ability to bring out the best in contributors, especially those who have experienced traumatic experiences, all the while treating them with the upmost respect and with dignity- I pride myself on the feedback I have recieved from victims, survivors and families of loved ones who have put their trust in me to tell their story.

My passion for filmaking also transpires into my work in development. I am able to use my journalistic skills and analytical mind to track trends, anticipate the needs of potential commissioners and also keep my finger on the pulse of developing stories. I thrive on identifying new and interesting angles and highlighting not just key contributors, but also those with compelling and new angles to historic events.

Although I enjoy working in the specialist factual field, I also understand of the pressures and challenges that come with daily live shows, reality television and working with high-profile talent and as such, am able to handle these areas with finesse and confidence. I have experience in planing filming schedules both in the UK and overseas. I am a natural story-teller and factually accurate script writer having written content for national newspapers (both in print and online) as well as other well-publications for many years, prior to working in television.

I am working hard to develop skills in self-shooting on cameras such as the Sony FS7s, FX9 and Cannon C300 and have a thirst for knowledge and learning more, whatever my role is. Read Less
