Hello, I'm Hannah! I've worked in TV for a little while and at end of 2023 took on a role as an Edit Runner, not knowing much about the Post-production side of the industry at all! It didn't take me long to realise I loved this side of TV and have since been very grateful to work as an Edit Assistant on Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing, further developing my Edit Assistant skills.
I’m keen to progress my career and I'm currently looking for roles as an Edit Assistant from January 2026 onwards.
My experience includes:
- Ingesting media into Avid
- Exporting media to diverse specs, producing viewing files, exports for the grade and Dub, AAFs and split tracks, and uploading to various platforms
- Syncing & grouping media
- Transcoding & consolodating media
- Creating asemmblies, ULAY & TODs pulls, and organising media within Avid and at Windows level for ease of the Editors and EPs.
- Bringing in archive from multiple sources
- Producing EDLs and transcriptions
- Undertook Editor Trainee shifts on Love Island, cutting stories which were included on the show
- Carrying out Showmaster consolidates post TX
- Carrying out playouts using Cinedeck for AS-11 creation and performing AQC checks to DPP standards using Vidchecker
- Stream assembly
- Managing exec viewings
- QC checks
- Setting up edit suites for the day and being on hand for operational support and troubleshooting
- Managing the movement of rushes from filming locations to the edit, ensuring the Edit team were never waiting too long for material by managing this efficiently
I’ve done a number of jobs as a Data Wrangler or wrangled as part of other jobs, and have always kept an edit-focused and detailed rushes log. I am incredibly organised and meticulous in managing media and cards - I love some labelled boxes and colourful tape!!
