I have been an invited guest public speaker at conferences, seminars and research institutions across the UK, Turkey and the Middle East. After working as Assistant Professor of Archaeology in Turkey for the last two years, I am now back in the UK. Media research has always been a professional ambition of mine and I am excited to now be seeking to develop career within a media production environment. My background is varied: I initially trained as a professional dancer, toured Europe with the Vienna Festival Ballet, performed in music videos and TV advertisements, before a vehicle collision forced me to retire. I subsequently undertook a BA. Hons. Archaeology degree then began a research career. Over the last fourteen years I have worked on archaeological research projects across the Middle East including with the British Museum in London and Kuwait, Stanford University in Turkey and the University of Leiden in Syria. I completed my PhD thesis, a 150,000-word independent research project, in 2015 and continue researching Neolithic communities of the Middle East. My research has been presented at universities, research institutes and international conferences. Many of my papers have been published and elements of my post-doctoral research are being prepared for publication.I am adept at managing multiple live projects and meeting deadlines; working under pressure, identifying information sources and grasping new subject matter swiftly. I am self-motivated, able to collaborate and forge networks with people of all backgrounds, plus work effectively independently.
