I'm an award-winning director of doco and drama TV commercials moving into long form and TV.https://vimeo.com/lukefranklinI’ve directed and shot broadcast TV campaigns at all budget levels for brands like Pampers, Tesco and McDonald’s finding my niche in naturalistic films of the highest quality working with small crews, genuine subjects and a hands-on approach. I’ve lead research teams to find then follow couples eloping, premature babies in neonatal intensive care units, Arctic photographers and the Azerbaijani Olympic wrestling team (they smelled great, thanks to Febreze). I direct and crew shoots of all sizes, just me and a camera or the whole circus but the smaller the better, you get closer and they’re more fun.My background is as a researcher, production assistant and director’s assistant working in-house with Moxie Pictures then ghost-writing and winning pitches as a freelancer for commercial stalwarts all over Soho as well as Hollywood directors moonlighting in the UK.My deep background in Ireland, thanks to a lively filmmaking scene and looser department boundaries, is as a camera assistant and electrician.
