Since entering the world of work, I have gained experience of both on-set and office environments, most recently working as a Production Coordinator for The University of Law (Media Development Group).During my time working for MDG, I’ve gained extensive knowledge of scheduling and compliance administration while working as part of a close-knit team. I have proven myself to be a speedy learner with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong conscientious manner. From 2011 to 2012, I worked intermittently as an Art Department runner to BAFTA-winning and Oscar- nominated Production Designer Eve Stewart. I worked on popular BBC period dramas 'The Hour' and 'Call the Midwife', producing handmade props and assisting with set dressing. I believe this experience has armed me with a strong eye for quality and detail. At university I studied Fine Art, specialising in video and installation work. I have experience using cameras and editing software (Final Cut) and I am also familiar with the screenplay format (Celtx).I have a huge passion for film, television and the visual arts. My own scripted work has previously been shortlisted by schemes such as BBC Writersroom and Hopscotch Horror, and a sample of my writing also been featured on the ‘three page challenge’ segment of the Scriptnotes Podcast, hosted by Hollywood screenwriters John August and Craig Mazin. In late 2018 my London-based horror comedy short ‘Nightbus’ was picked up for production by Gingerbread Pictures.
The film is set to be directed by multi-talented duo Henrietta & Jessica Ashworth, and starring award-winning actress
Susan Wokoma.
