Lewis came to Daisybeck to direct 5 'as live' episodes of SPRINGTIME ON THE FARM. This was the second series of this stripped multi-camera event piece for TX in peak on Channel 5. Based in a real barn on a real farm, Lewis was tasked with refreshing the show following a successful first series last year. Not only did he refresh it, he brought an enormous amount of energy and zest to the production - in the office, on the floor and in the gallery. He is a very gifted and creative visionary who from the outset knew what he wanted to achieve from the various aspects of the location - tapping into and maximising the natural assets of the farm. Working with the fabulous team at One Box and with an equally brilliant team including cameras, jib, lighting and sound - Lewis led the team to deliver the most exquisite finished product across all 5 episodes. I found him fun, enthusiastic and completely delightful to work with and I really hope we can convince him to come back again very soon!
I've worked with Lewis since he was learning his craft as a multi cam director at London Live. So it was no surprise that his talent and innate vision for constructing and directing live TV led him to ITV's This Morning! Lewis is always friendly, approachable and very popular amongst the TM family. He's directed some incredible sequences for the show, my favourite being Antone Du Beke's infamous intro to the show when he was guest presenting! He a fantastic director with great career ahead of him.
