Over the last four years, I have worked for a number of recognised production companies.
On my latest role at Renowned Films, I was an in house production secretary, supporting multiple production managers on a number of different projects simultaneously. I had many responsibilities, such as processing release forms, organising invoices, booking couriers, travel and hotels and insuring safe delivery of kit and equipment.
When I was not in the throws of production, I would also help with research for the development team, taking minutes at meetings and curating news stories and podcasts that potentially led to show ideas. This was where I was particularly passionate and felt the most creatively fulfilled.
While my experience is in factual entertainment, I am determined to break into scripted TV, but also hugely enjoy the research element of development and pre-production. In the last year, I have seen many projects from their initial conception to the final broadcast. I was also on set for the filming of scripted comedy "I, Blondey" and in studio on the set of "GRM Rated Awards 2022" broadcast on E4, hosted by Big Zuu and Julie Adenuga. This made me familiar with the highly reactive, urgent environments where circumstances change at a moment's notice.
I thrive in creative environments where I can collaborate with others who share my passion for story-telling. Not only can I generate a number of ideas quickly, but I am highly skilled at executing them to their highest potential, with an attention to detail formed from years of writing.
I have an eye for trends that stems from the observational skills I have honed doing stand up comedy on the London open mic scene, where I can be seen performing three to four times a week. My particular interests is comedy. My personal comedic pursuits have gained tangible recognition such as winning the Alan Plater Memorial Award, becoming a semi-finalist in the 2018 Chortle Student Comedy Awards and making it to the top 13% in BBC's Comedy Writer's Room 2020 script submissions on my first try.
I am proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel), Google Sheets, Google Docs, Blackbird (formerly known as Forscene) software and Trint AI Transcribing Software, Sonix Transcription Software, Simon Says Transcription Software and Avid Media Composer. I am Albert Sustainable Production Certification trained.
