I am a NCTJ-qualified Journalism graduate with a passion for telling stories. I have gained experience in print, broadcast, and online, therefore I would consider myself to be a multimedia journalist. I have a breadth of experience in creating online content, however I would like to gain more experience of working in TV. I have carried out a three week placement at The One Show, which involved helping setting up shoots, finding interviewees, and assisting out on location. I have volunteered for BBC Live Lessons as an Audiences Runner, which involved me assisting the audiences team for the two-day production, as well as general Runner duties such as helping with the derig of the set. Furthermore, I have volunteered for BBC Watchdog Live in their social media team for the six-week series in the run up to Christmas, where I found relevant and interesting tweets from the audience and compiled these for the presenters to read out on the live show. During university in May of 2015, I also took part in a world record breaking attempt to use 138 LIVE internet streams to broadcast simultaneously from more electoral counts than ever before with Sky News. I covered the Sheffield constituency for the election, which included filming footage of Nick Clegg, and submitting election poll results on the Sky general election app. I would love to gain more experience in TV and will be available from 1 April 2019.
