I have enjoyed a successful career in broadcast television for over 25 years. I am an experienced Avid editor and also an accomplished camera operator. I am a reliable, conscientious creative with lots of drive and a very positive outlook. I have worked on various award-winning programmes. In 2018 I was nominated BAFTA Cymru Editor of the Year.

My original background in editing and filming News, Sports and Current Affairs has made me highly adept at working quickly, to very high standards and within tight deadlines. I have travelled to many countries across Europe and also the U.S. and Dubai, where I have filmed and edited on location for Sport and various documentaries.

From over 25 years of experience as an editor (offline and online), I have developed my skills for perfecting visual and audio pacing and constructing engaging, flowing story narratives. I have edited many first/initial series, where I have helped shape and develop the tone and style for the continuing show. Having also worked on a number of productions remotely, I am well accomplished at editing from rushes without any storyboard or paper edit and creating well constructed and appealing sequences for producers to then collaberate with.

I have worked in many different genres, including True Crime / Network Documentaries / Factual and Light Entertainment / Sport / Nature / Children's TV. I have edited network programmes for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky.

In 2017 I edited The Aberfan Young Wives’ Club documentary, which won a National Royal Television Society award. In 2019 I edited the ITV network crime series Code Blue: Murder, this two-part True Crime series won an RTS Cymru award in Feb 2020 and also a Wales Media Award in 2020.

I am based in Cardiff, but I am able to travel. I have a fully equipped (and remote) Avid suite at home on which I have regularly edited for Channel 4, BBC and ITV. Read Less
