Paul initially trained as a theatre director, but now works in film and audio drama. As a writer-director his award-winning short films have been screened internationally.He holds a BA Hons in Drama and English from Edge Hill University and an MA in Theatre Directing from East 15 in London (supported by an Arts and Humanities Research Council grant). He is a member of Equity and the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab, New York.In January 2019 he was runner-up in The Pitch - Film Competition narrowly missing out on £30,000 short film funding and production support.
