Hi I'm a writer living in Bradford, born in Teesside, terminal northerner. Manager at Bingley Arts Centre.Last job: sketch show W'All Love The Wall (about Hadrian's Wall) at the Tyne Theatre & Opera House with SunofaGun Previously: I wrote an LGBTQ+ piece for Hive Theatre, Manchester for OutStageUs, pre-covid, performed post-lockdowns. I wrote and directed the LGBT dark comedy short, 50 Shades, in 2019 for the BFI, selected for the London Lift Off Sessions and Women X Festival, and nominated for Best Comedy at the latter. I wrote and voiced comedy sketches for Grin Up North for BBC Newcastle and BBC Tees. I was long listed for the BBC Open Comedy Window 2018, with a sitcom, Icebergs. I wrote, directed and performed in a spoof news programme, The Teesside World News, with mixed ability group, Arc Filmmakers. I was part of the cast that won the Middlesbrough International Film Festival Best Film for 'Lazy or What?' in 2018.I tend to focus on lesbian/woman-led/northern/menopause writing.
