I worked with Ben on three projects last year, first bringing him in as an Edit Producer, then as a Series Edit Producer, overseeing four suites by himself. In all his work, I found him to be excellent. He was top notch at script writing, great at getting to the heart of the story, highly competent at managing the flow of rushes and the schedule, strong on editorial vigour and confident working seamlessly with multiple editors. He was always, 'can do', solution orientated and supportive. The shows we worked on ranged from a new format travelogue (George Clarke's Amazing Americana), a two year in the making, constantly evolving, observational documentary (Johnny Vegas: Carry on Glamping) and a long running Fact Ent series, (George Clarke's Amazing Spaces), where he effortlessly understood the series DNA and wry sensibilities.
