Women in Film & TV (WFTV) is inviting female and non-binary filmmakers to pitch for two £50,000 production support and mentoring funding packages.
The organisation has unveiled its Short Film Fund, which will offer two teams £25,000 in cash funding and £25,000 in kit rental, post-production support and mentoring from leading professionals throughout the project’s lifecycle.
It is open to writers, directors, producers, directors of photography and cinematographers, with no restrictions on themes, genre, subject matter or creative vision.
The fund, created with Sunbelt Rentals Film & TV, which will provide access to specialist camera, lighting and grip equipment, will open for applications from Monday 7 September.
WFTV is hosting a members-only online networking session for interested parties on Wednesday 26 August. For details, click here
WFTV chief executive Katie Bailiff said the fund “represents a significant milestone for our organisation as a film funder, but perhaps more importantly it’s a meaningful investment in ensuring greater representation of women and non-binary people in leading, creative roles in filmmaking”.
