Trainee Graphics Operator - Chapter 3 Graphics

    Chapter 3 Graphics, part of the Whisper Group, is a specialist design studio creating standout visual content for the world’s biggest sporting, eSports and entertainment events.

    From title sequences and broadcast graphics to promos and live event visuals, we work with global clients including FIFA, UEFA, Formula 1, EA, SailGP and Wimbledon.

    Based in West London, we’re a fast-growing, creatively led team passionate about high-quality motion design and storytelling.
    We are looking for a talented and hard-working trainee at the start of their career, seeking an opportunity to develop their skills working within the graphics division in live broadcast production.

    Working with and reporting directly to our head of live, you will have the opportunity to grow from a technical graphics assistant to a graphics operator.

    This is an entry-level position where training in all aspects of graphics production and operation will be provided across a 12-month contract.

    By the end of the 12 months, you should be able to:
    • Assist with the setup and preparation of graphics systems ahead of live broadcasts.
    • Rig & test equipment onsite.
    • Learn multiple graphics platforms and workflows.
    • Support the development and implementation of new systems, processes, and innovative graphics solutions.

    This position would suit a technically minded creative with an interest in graphic design and broadcast production.

    You do not need to have worked in a design studio before, but must be excited by creative content and live broadcast production and hungry to learn about all associated elements

    You do not need to have worked in sports content before, but you must be able to demonstrate a knowledge of and passion for major sports, such as football, rugby and motorsport.

    The role will entail weekend work and occasional unsociable hours, dependent on production requirements.

    Your Mission:
    • To immerse yourself in the world of Chapter 3 and live broadcast production
    • Improve on technical knowledge of graphics in the world of on-screen content
    • Learn what the difference is between “good enough” and “industry-leading” content.

    Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation.

    The Skills You Bring:
    • Mac experience, but also comfortable using a PC
    • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
    • Confident people, communication skills and problem-solving abilities
    • Knowledge and enthusiasm for sport.
    • A passion for visual content.

    Location:
    The base for this position will be Kew, London.
    There will be occasional production-based travel

    Working Day:
    5 days a week, x4 days in office, x1 day working from home.
    This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working.
    You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirements.
    Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week.

    Start:
    ASAP on 12-month FTC
