    Calling all political obsessives! Do you want to build a career in political TV production? Do policy ideas, polling data and economic numbers fascinate you?



    ITV’s flagship political programme PESTON is looking to bolster their team with a role perfect for those who want to develop their journalistic skills on a show that tries to make sense of the busy world of domestic and global politics.

    You will gain a broad understanding of how PESTON is made, helping the team produce weekly live studio output and assisting with research and in studio production for top journalists Robert Peston and Pippa Crerar.

    Core skills for this role would include:

    - Passion for politics and a desire to specialise in covering the detail of British politics in particular
    - Interest in data, polling and the facts that explain what is happening in politics and the economy
    - Confidence in using numbers and explaining policy detail accurately
    - Skills in or a willingness to learn about producing eye-catching and understandable graphics and data visualisation
    - Enthusiasm for sharing your ideas and working closely with a lively team
