Description
CTVC is looking for a Producer to work on a new series of BBC Live Lessons. The producer is responsible (along with the SP) for creatively leading the production of assigned episode's, managing the team and ensuring that all editorial and technical aspects are executed to BBC standards.
These will be 8 shows shot across the UK (some live and some pre-records)
This job will be based out of our Manchester office and is an office based role (4 days in the office and 1 from home) with time spent on location in the UK as required.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, plan and produce engaging, curriculum-aligned Live Lessons for children's audiences.
Collaborate with educational advisors and teachers to ensure lesson content is accurate and effective.
Work closely with the Senior Producer and Executive Producer to shape editorial tone and creative format.
Lead scripting process, ensuring clarity, inclusivity, age-appropriateness and BBC editorial compliance.
Coordinate presenters, contributors (including teachers, experts, children), and technical teams through pre-production, rehearsals and live broadcasts.
Oversee filming logistics, including locations, rights clearances, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
Manage schedules and budgets, reporting progress and risks to the production management team.
Liaise with interactive, digital and post-production teams to integrate quizzes, animations and graphics into the lessons.
Maintain a high standard of editorial integrity, accessibility, and creativity in line with BBC values and audience expectations
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience producing live and educational broadcast content (TV or digital). This is essential
Strong understanding of the UK curriculum, especially for primary and lower secondary ages.
Excellent scripting and editorial judgement.
Experience directing talent and contributors in studio or on location.
Comfortable with live transmission environments and troubleshooting under pressure.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to fast-changing circumstances.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Awareness of safeguarding best practices when working with young contributors.
Working knowledge of compliance, health & safety and production legalities in a BBC context is desirable
Desirable:
Experience working with interactive formats or on CBBC, BBC Bitesize or BBC Teach content.
