Lead Producer / Senior Producer – Weekly Visualised Current Affairs Podcast
Description
We are looking for a Senior Producer to lead an existing visualised talent led weekly politics and current affairs podcast.
This is an exciting editorial role for someone with excellent political judgement, strong production instincts, and the confidence to steer a fast-turnaround weekly show from idea to release. This show has been running for multiple years, so you would not be building an audience from scratch, but still has so much room to grow. You will oversee the editorial arc of each episode, work closely with presenters on scripts and structure, direct the show on recording days, and lead the team delivering the podcast across audio, video and digital platforms.
You will also take responsibility for compliance and editorial standards, helping ensure the show is rigorous, distinctive and ready for weekly release.
This role will suit someone who combines editorial authority with collaborative leadership: someone who can generate ideas, make decisions under pressure, support talent, and get the best out of a small production team. Someone who enjoys both the big picture and the weekly detail. You will be comfortable moving between scripting, editorial planning, compliance, talent management and studio direction, and you will know how to keep quality high without losing pace. And, most importantly, you will live and breathe the front pages.
Politics is a fast moving world, and so you must be comfortable occasionally working outside of regular working hours should the need arise.

Help develop the show’s long-term growth and editorial direction
