Development Producer/Senior Development Producer

Description

Contract Development Consultant — Project Citizen
Remote | Contract, 6–12 months+

Project Citizen is a story incubation lab developing films, premium series, and audio that exposes the unchecked power of Silicon Valley. Founded by investigative journalist Carole Cadwalladr and veteran US producer Mikaela Beardsley, we’re an offshoot of The Citizens, a tech justice non-profit, working with both established and emerging talent.

We’re looking for a Development Consultant to work across two connected tracks:

Creative development: sourcing, shaping, and packaging new film, series, and audio projects
∙ Funding development: building relationships with grantors, funders, and financiers, and helping position projects for support from partners in the impact and documentary funding space

You’ll bring:
∙ A track record in documentary or factual development, ideally with an investigative or social-impact bent
∙ Comfort working both sides of the table: creative packaging and fundraising strategy
∙ Existing relationships with funders, commissioners, or the impact-doc ecosystem a plus
∙ Ability to work independently and remotely, with strong follow-through over a longer engagement

This is a remote contract role, 6–12 months with potential to extend, working closely with Project Citizen’s core team.

To apply, send your CV and a note on relevant credits/experience.
