Assistant Producer
Description
ASSISTANT PRODUCER – WHISPER COMBAT
Whisper is a leading global production company, specialising in sports, unscripted and branded
entertainment.
Our diverse team of over 285 international employees produce top-level sports such as Formula One, UEFA and The Paralympics, as well as branded content, prime time documentaries, and entertainment quiz shows for a raft of broadcasters.
Whisper’s creativity and storytelling are BAFTA-winning and Emmy International-nominated.
It is also a Sunday Times Best Places to Work.
We’re launching an ambitious new combat sports project and building a creative team around it.
We’re looking for Assistant Producers who are full of ideas, editorially sharp and excited by the challenge of creating content that cuts through in a crowded digital world.
This role is ideal for someone who loves sport, understands storytelling, and wants to work across everything from premium features and interviews, to social content, promos and live event output.
You’ll be part of a collaborative creative team developing content for global audiences across YouTube, digital, social and broadcast platforms, shaping ideas from the earliest stages right through to delivery.
Combat sports knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement. Curiosity, creativity and a strong instinct for what makes audiences engage, matter more.
Whisper is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, communities and lived experiences, and are committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels supported, valued and empowered to do their best work.
What we’re looking for:
• A creatively driven Assistant Producer with strong editorial instincts and excellent attention to detail.

• An instinctive understanding of pacing, shot selection and storytelling structure.
• Someone comfortable juggling multiple projects and reacting positively in fast-moving production environments.
• A collaborative thinker who enjoys developing ideas with producers, editors and motion graphics designers.
• Strong communication skills and confidence contributing creatively within a team.
• Experience working across Outside Broadcasts at live sports events and fast-turnaround productions is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for sport.
• French and/or Spanish language skills are a bonus, but not essential.
Your Mission:
• Develop and produce creative content across digital, social, YouTube and broadcast platforms.
• Research stories, write briefs and help shape original content ideas and recurring formats.
• Produce promos, features, interviews, social content and reactive event coverage.
• Plan and run shoots, including multi-camera setups and location filming.
• Self-shoot where required.
• Work closely with editors through the post-production process, driving narrative, tone and pacing.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to help bring creative ideas to life visually.
• Ensure music and audio design is on point.
• Ensure all output is accurate, well-researched and delivered to a high editorial standard.
• Help maintain fresh creative thinking across the team, contributing ideas, references, highlighting trends and offering new approaches.
Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, or removed to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation
The Skills You Bring:
• Experience producing engaging content for sport, entertainment or digital platforms.
• Strong editorial judgement and storytelling ability.
• A good level of self-editing ability in Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
• Experience running shoots and managing contributors.
