BBC Gardeners’ World is the UK’s best loved, most respected gardening programme on TV. Our flagship BBC Two series is currently looking for highly motivated Runners to join a busy production team, based in Bristol.

The Runner roles crucially provide support for the production management and editorial teams both in the office and out on location. Normal office hours will generally apply but a flexible approach is required, particularly on location and subject to the BBC’s policies and guidelines.

Each runner role on the programme requires an individual skill base and so we are looking for a diverse variety of applicants. A positive can-do attitude and passion for the programme is vital. We also welcome applications from candidates with a background in horticulture or a serious knowledge of gardening. We are also on the lookout for those with interest in the technical side of programme making.

Runners will be required to drive on location. Experience of driving a transit van would be desirable.

Base: Bristol with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Start Dates varying: February 2027 – October 2027 subject to greenlight
Closing Date: 4th of November 2026
Contract Type: Freelance PAYE
