    CTVC Social Media & Communications Producer

    CTVC is a unique, multi award-winning independent production company specialising in ethical, moral and religious content across TV, Audio and Digital platforms. We are a super creative and energetic team, and the Social Media & Communications Producer is essential in making sure that our programming and messaging is shared far and wide.

    We have dedicated in-house brands, targeting different audiences through a variety of medias, as well as producing super content for a range of clients including the BBC, BBC Education, SKY KIDS, ITV, NHS, BBC World Service, BFI, Radio 3 and Radio 4. The Social Media & Communications Producer needs to be agile and dynamic, with the ability to work across multiple projects for different audiences.

    With offices in London and Manchester, we are an inclusive team delivering a range of training opportunities to young people who are interested in the industry. CTVC has been making content for over 40 years with the aim to Educate, Challenge and Inspire.

    The Role

    Our recent priority has been growing audiences across our social channels and we are looking for someone to build on this success, whilst also helping to shape new strategies and direction.

    A strong understanding of audience growth and a proven track record of growing and engaging YouTube audiences in particular, would be highly valued. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who understands and engages with a wide range of social media platforms and teams.

    The Social Media & Communications Producer will also train and empower the wider CTVC team to grow and develop their own social media skills and knowledge.

    This could be your role if you can:

    • Think Strategically. You will need to build on our social media strategy, helping to grow our audience and increase engagement across various social media channels and beyond.
    • Create engaging content. You will need the skills to be able to create original digital content, cutdowns and repurposed media that meets CTVC’s remit to create moral, ethical and religious content. This will be a mix of video, photo and written content across a varied slate of brands, programmes and clients.
    • Be a Team-player. You will liaise with all CTVC departments to ensure that our content is being considered, produced, scheduled and shared on time.
    • Flex your copy skills. You will need excellent written communication skills that can grab attention and encourage engagement around a range of moral, ethical and religious themes. We have varied audiences in age, education and interests across all our programming, so an adaptive and responsive style is a must!
    • Mentor and share your skills: We run a range of exciting training programmes for our clients and are always looking for ways to upskill our own team. You will need to be excited at the prospect of sharing your knowledge and empowering those around you and not scared to lead training from the front.

    Tasks will include:
    • Delivering and building on our social media strategy to grow the audience of our cross-company brands.
    • Develop social ideas for inclusion in pitches and proposals
    • Working with our Digital, TV and Audio teams to develop and launch campaigns.
    • Staying up to date with new social media channels and trends ensuring CTVC content fits with market expectations across established and emerging platforms.
    • Developing a multimedia campaign approach including video production (we have an in-house production team), infographics, news releases, articles and social media postings to promote our work.
    • Managing our social media accounts, producing engaging posts and interacting with stakeholders which in turn grows the quantity, quality and reach of our work.
    • Rigorous approach to platform housekeeping and compliance, including following our Comment Risk Policy.
    • Optimisation of thumbnails, titles and descriptions on our YouTube channel to help drive traffic.
    • Ability to produce fresh and engaging content (video or other) that engages audiences with our moral, ethical and religious values.
    • Documenting shoots (through video, photography or other) for social media
    • Writing copy and scheduling social media posts
    • Preparing and releasing internal communications including newsletters, managing our internal social platform including LinkedIn posts.
    • Designing documents to be stylish and engaging (including pitch decks)
    • Working with department heads to ensure they have analytics and data reports
    • Working with CEO and other Heads of Department to roll-out CTVC brand both internally and externally.

    We ask that the applicant can evidence:
    • A strong track record of developing and implementing a social media strategy including successfully growing followers on social media channels.
    • You can produce video clips/presentations/documents/ infographics or other content that will feed into our social media strategy.
    • A thorough understanding of storytelling and what makes engaging and shareable content
    • Solid design skills with the ability to produce attractive materials for use across social media, pitching and beyond.
    • The ability to work with a number of stakeholders including Heads of Departments, COO and CEO.
    • Excellent communication and written/copy skills

    Desirable Skills:
    • Premiere Pro or similar
    • InDesign/Photoshop/ Illustrator or similar
    • IT Skills
    • Photography Skills
    • Training / mentoring
