Behind the Move (6x48' factual, ITV / RTL)

BigMedia is looking for screenwriters to join Behind the Move, a six-part factual series for ITV Studios Global and RTL Germany.

Each episode takes one high-value move from A to B and tells it from two opposing sides: the people who plan and protect the transport, and the would-be attackers who want to compromise it.

The episodes cover a broad range of topics: Cash, VIPs, Masterpieces, Prisoners, Freight and Heads of State.

The series uses recreation, interviews, expert analysis, and GFX. It's built with a five-act structure, closed criminal cases for context, and war-game recreation.

We're looking for writers capable of shaping each episode, writing to the recreation and war-game sequences, and turning initial online interview transcripts and pre-prepared research material into a narrative that carries an hour of accessible, entertaining and factually based TV. Working with the showrunner, development and the research team, you'd script to the five-act structure and keep the adversarial engine running through the episode.

We want writers who can build tension into a sequence, and who are comfortable moving between factual rigour and scripted craft. Credits in scripted, factual docs or factual drama are all welcome. Experience with reconstruction-heavy formats and writing documentary series is an advantage.
