Description
Haven Light Productions is seeking an experienced Producer for a professionally produced independent short film shooting in Gravesend, Kent, provisionally late January 2027.
The project is a socially driven drama exploring coercive control and domestic abuse, with ambitions for the UK and international festival circuit and wider social-impact use.
We are looking for a hands-on Producer to work closely with the Executive Producer and creative team through pre-production and the four-day shoot.
Responsibilities will include helping develop and manage the production budget and schedule, coordinating crew and suppliers, overseeing production logistics, supporting contracting and compliance, and helping ensure the production is properly prepared and delivered.
We are particularly interested in applicants with established professional television, film or high-end short-form production experience. Experience with BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, major independents or comparable productions would be welcomed, although this is not essential.
The role is expected to involve approximately 12 paid days across pre-production and production, with some flexibility over how the pre-production days are scheduled.
Producer fee: £3,000.
Pre-production can be undertaken partly remotely, but attendance in Gravesend will be required for agreed preparation days and throughout the shoot.
