Production Co-ordinator
Description
CTVC is looking for an experienced Production Coordinator to work on the BBC's flagship religious programme Songs of Praise.
Working closely with the Production Managers, you'll support the planning and delivery of a mix of as-live outside broadcasts and PSC/VT location filming.
We're looking for a highly organised Production Coordinator with experience setting up complex multi-camera shoots, coordinating logistics for large crews, contributors and suppliers, and supporting busy production teams to deliver ambitious content.
You'll have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A confident problem-solver, you'll be comfortable anticipating and resolving operational and logistical challenges, ensuring filming runs smoothly.
Location: Manchester (with some travel and location filming required)
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 4 days office-based and 1 day working from home
Contract: August 2026 – November 2026 with possibility of extension
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate travel, accommodation and logistics for large crews, contributors and suppliers.
* Support the delivery of as-live OBs, PSC filming and location shoots.
* Create call sheets, schedules and other production documentation.
* Manage release forms, contributor paperwork, archive and music clearances, and compliance records.
* Track, reconcile and forecast production costs and expenses.
* Anticipate and resolve operational and logistical challenges, ensuring as-live broadcasts and location filming run smoothly.
* Support BBC delivery requirements and post-production paperwork.
* Drive sustainability initiatives in line with Albert and BBC environmental commitments.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum of 2 Production Coordinator credits.
* Proven track record working on live, OB, studio or location-based productions.
* Strong experience coordinating large-scale shoots and managing complex production logistics.
* Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.
* Confidence tracking costs, reconciling expenses and managing production budgets.
* Sound knowledge of production paperwork, including contributor releases, archive and music clearances.
* Experience implementing safeguarding processes, working with children and young people and applying for child performance licenses.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with editorial, technical and production teams, contributors, and external suppliers.
