Edit Producer
Description
Dynamo vs Houdini
3 x 60' Premium Factual Entertainment Series
Start: ASAP
Duration: Approximately 10 weeks
We're looking for an experienced Edit Producer to join the post-production team on a major new Sky series starring Steven Frayne (Dynamo).
The series is a cinematic, premium factual entertainment project that explores the life and legacy of Harry Houdini through a modern lens. Blending scripted storytelling, documentary, character-driven scenes and large-scale magic performances, the series sits between drama and unscripted.
Working closely with the Showrunner, Series Director and Editors, the successful candidate will help shape three offline edits, ensuring narrative clarity, emotional engagement and consistency across the series.
This is not a traditional reality-edit role. The overarching story structure and scripts already exist. Instead, we're looking for someone with strong storytelling instincts who can help bring those scripts to life in the edit, refining scenes, performances and narrative flow while supporting the day-to-day post production process.
Key Responsibilities
• Work across three edits, supporting editors and helping maintain consistency of tone, story and structure.
• Collaborate with the showrunner to realise scripted narrative beats and character arcs.
• Review cuts and provide clear editorial notes.
• Help shape interview material and documentary sequences to support the wider story.
• Track narrative, compliance and delivery requirements through post-production.
• Act as a key point of communication between editorial, production and post teams.
We're Looking For Someone Who
• Has substantial Edit Producer, Story Producer or Post Producer experience on premium factual, documentary or factual entertainment projects.
• Has excellent narrative instincts and understands character, drama, pacing and performance.
• Is comfortable working from existing scripts and story structures.
• Can confidently support multiple editors and edits simultaneously.
• Is highly organised and process-driven.
• Enjoys collaborating closely with creative leadership while remaining hands-on and practical.
• Experience working with Sky and Sky delivery processes would be advantageous.
The role is based within the Sky edit environment and requires someone who is collaborative, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-moving premium production.
