Series Producer Major new factual entertainment series (3 x 60) Crackit TV
Crackit TV has been commissioned to produce a bold, funny and revealing new 3 x 60 factual entertainment series for a major UK broadcaster, fronted by one of the country's most exciting duos. We are looking for an exceptional Series Producer to lead it.
The series dives into the fast growing world of modern male self-improvement: the lengths men now go to in pursuit of the perfect look, peak health and a longer life. It is immersive, presenter led and unafraid, blending genuine warmth and emotion with shock, humour and real jeopardy, and it treats its contributors with respect even at its most eye opening.
This is a senior creative role with end to end editorial ownership. You will work with the Exec to shape the storytelling across all three films, set and protect the tone, and lead a team to deliver television that is as moving and intelligent as it is entertaining.
The role
You will lead the casting team across the series, bringing brilliant instincts and oversight to finding contributors and experts who are surprising, credible and television gold. You will turn each story into dynamic, visual television rather than a parade of meet and greet chats, building scenes with imagination, jeopardy and heart. You will work closely with the talent, building briefings that send them in prepared and enthused and getting the very best out of them on the floor. And you will have a successful background on duty of care and compliance across sensitive and sometimes provocative subject matter.
You will have
A strong track record producing or series producing presenter led popular factual or factual entertainment, ideally bringing bold, sensitive or provocative subjects to life for a mainstream audience. Exceptional casting judgement and oversight. A genuinely visual storytelling brain. And the tonal range this series needs: the ability to move between insight, humour, warmth and empathy, often within a single scene.
You will be calm under pressure, highly organised and realistic about what is deliverable within the shooting timeframe, without ever dropping the ambition. And you will be a generous team leader who lifts everyone around you.
This job is Brighton based with at least 3 days per week in the office.
