A Place in the Sun is looking for a researcher fluent in written and spoken Portuguese to join this flagship C4 show.

Main duties include interviewing House Hunters selected to appear on the show, complete a brief on each couple and then liaise with property agents in Portugal to find the perfect properties to feature in the show.

You will need excellent research and writing skills as you will write up detailed briefs on the couple each week and research each area thoroughly before filming. Impressive organisational skills and a confident phone manner are a must.

The successful candidate could be an experienced TV researcher or someone ready to step up to researcher as training will be given - as long as you are fluent in written and spoken Portuguese and have the other key skills.

Our offices are on a farm in Chorleywood, Herts so you must be happy to commute here at least 4 days a week. This is a full time role however you may choose to work 1 day per week remotely.

The office is a 15 min walk or 5 min drive from Chorleywood mainline and tube station. If you drive there is plenty of free parking at the office. The working hours are typically 10am-6pm, Monday - Friday. Please check that your commute is do-able before applying!

This contract will run for 6 weeks from Monday 10th August to Friday 18th September 2026 (6 weeks in total)

The starting week is a training week so by the end of this week you would be fully up to speed with our systems and methods before being given your first show to research.

It helps if you are genuinely interested in property and have an enquiring mind so you can get the best out of each set of House Hunters.
