Assistant Producer

Description

The Garden Productions is looking for an experienced AP with a background in journalism/current affairs/documentary-making.

Full drivers licence and driving experience would be an advantage.

Start date: Late May – Late July.

Core responsibilities:

- Conducting in-depth research, factchecking, and verifying the credibility of sources.

- Pitching story ideas, researching new angles on current events, and monitoring the news.

- Finding characters/contributors, experts, and filming locations

- Writing briefing notes and contributor bios

- Supporting the Series Producer and Producer on location during filming
