Production Coordinator (6 month FTC)

    The role

    The Production Coordinator role will support the live daily delivery of all Daytime shows. Based in the studio and office (or on location), this key role is one of three working across programmes to manage the smooth running of all studio operations, crew logistics, and day-to-day production processes.

    You will work closely with the Senior Production Manager, Line Producer and wider production team to ensure that the studio crew, contributors, talent, and paperwork are fully coordinated and compliant, all while supporting live output from the gallery. This is a fast-paced role that requires exceptional attention to detail, great communication, and strong knowledge of live TV studio workflows.

    The Production Coordinator will work as either a Studio Production Coordinator or a Location Production Coordinator on an alternating roster and duties will be focused on either Location or Studio as appropriate.

    As a Production Coordinator, you will work across This Morning, Lorraine & Loose Women on a rotational basis.


    Studio
    The role will coordinate logistics, contracting, health & safety, crew rosters, budgeting, and post-production, ensuring each broadcast is delivered to the highest standard and within budget. This is a fast-paced and varied role suited to someone with strong production knowledge, studio experience, and a keen eye for detail.


    Location
    The role will support the Features and any Outside Broadcast (OB) content for Daytime shows. This role is central to the smooth planning and delivery of pre-recorded VT packages, musical performances, showbiz junkets, and live OBs, working closely with editorial teams, technical crew, contributors, and external partners.


    Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

    Experience working as a Production Coordinator (or equivalent) level in live/studio TV Production
    Proven production knowledge in the effective set-up and operational delivery of a range of production formats and genres (studio, location filming, outside broadcast), both domestically and internationally.
    Demonstrable skills to be proactive in the production environment, showing sensitivity to the needs and pressures of colleagues
    Knowledgeable of a range of production broadcast technologies (e.g. LiveU, SNG) ways of working
    Confidence to manage upwards effectively and communicate with the wider production team,
    drawing on a range of strategies and skills to persuade and influence
    High level of integrity, particularly when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
    Strong knowledge of location logistics, PSC crew coordination, and call sheet creation
    Experience in completing a multitude of risk assessments and various insurance documentation

    Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment
    Be proactive in identifying risk and escalating areas of concern as appropriate
    Experience planning large studio productions and/or Outside Broadcasts

    Technical Skills & Knowledge

    Strong understanding of studio operations, crew contracting, scheduling, and gallery support
    Confident handling of budgets and payment systems.
    Strong working knowledge of health & safety, risk management, and compliance paperwork
    Experience of working internationally, adapting to different environments
    Experience of supporting the post-production process, ensuring all material and paperwork are delivered to the required schedule
    Experience of applying skills in an international setting and maintaining standards of work throughout
    Assist with the completion of health and safety risk assessment paperwork and that Editorial Management are involved in and accountable for the risk-taking decision process

    Leadership & Management or Working with Others

    Work effectively and constructively as part of a team and with a wide range of people (production colleagues, on-screen contributors/talent and members of the public)
    Experience in managing or supporting junior team members in a fast-paced studio setting.
    Extensive experience working with on-screen talent
    Demonstrable experience in coordinating/managing more junior colleagues, giving guidance and sharing expertise as appropriate as well as the wider crew
