Production Assistant – Feature Documentary
Location: Weymouth & London, UK
Dates: 25 March – 2 April 2026 (with potential recurring work through September)
Contract: Freelance
A Production Assistant with prior documentary experience is sought for an upcoming German feature documentary produced by MA.JA.DE. Films, filming in Weymouth and London.
The project will be shot with a small documentary crew, so we are looking for someone highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a lean production environment where flexibility and initiative are essential.
Filming Schedule:
• 25–27 March: Weymouth, England
• 28 March – 2 April: London
Typical working days will be approximately 8–10 hours, depending on the production schedule.
There is potential for recurring work on the project through September 2026, subject to availability and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing on-set production support to the director and crew
• Assisting with production logistics and daily coordination
• Managing release forms and production paperwork
• Supporting crew and equipment transport when required
• General production assistance across the shoot
Requirements:
• Prior on-set experience on documentary productions (broadcast or feature documentary preferred)
• Experience working with small documentary crews
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage paperwork and contributor releases
• Full UK driving licence essential
• Confident driving a small van with crew and equipment, including travel between London and Weymouth
