Series Producer

  • Description

*Repost with additional details - if you have applied already, no need to apply again*

Rare TV is looking for a Series Producer to manage a returning factual series for a major US broadcaster.

This is a Location SP role taking over from Showrunner for the last 8-9 weeks of filming in mid/late July once the Showrunner returns to the UK to manage the edits. Please only apply for this role if you are happy and available to be abroad for that period of time. Please state that you are happy to do this in your application, applicants who fail to do so, will not be considered.

We want to hear from Series Producers with good experience of being in challenging locations, managing a large team and a keen editorial eye. You will be required to take editorial control of the show, deciding how best to utilise PD resources to capture and make the most of stories available. Understanding of managing risk is essential and having an understanding of working in foreign locations with fixers is helpful.

The show is shot by working with a large number of partners to capture multiple stories per episode. This role will mean being the face of Rare and the broadcaster while working with a large number of these organisations. These may be multi-million dollar companies or small one man operations but positively managing these relationships and ensuring smooth filming with them is vital.

We are looking for applicants who are confident communicators, well organised and enjoy working in fast-moving environments.

Rate will be based on experience.

We welcome colleagues from all backgrounds and underrepresented groups and promote a diverse range of skills and experience across our business.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and or harassment and have a strong whistleblowing structure in place throughout the company and work closely with the Film & TV Charity to implement the Whole Picture Toolkit across all our productions.
