Assistant Producer (Gujarati speaking) – Feature Documentary
 
Job Description
Passion Pictures are looking for an experienced Assistant Producer to join the team for an exciting new feature documentary production.
 
This role requires someone with excellent journalistic / editorial instincts, strong research and interpersonal skills and fluent / conversational Gujarati.
 
You will play a key role in identifying contributors, researching complex stories and supporting the editorial team throughout production.
 
Key Responsibilities
·      Researching compelling stories and contributors
·      Conducting pre interviews and developing contributor relationships
·      Translating and interpreting where required
·      Writing detailed research briefs and shooting notes
·      Supporting filming, location research and logistics
·      Working closely with the Producer and Director on editorial development
·      Fact checking and ensuring editorial accuracy
 
Essential Skills & Experience
·      Proven experience as an Assistant Producer in factual television producing content for major broadcasters and / or streamers
·      Fluent Gujarati (spoken)
·      Strong contributor research and interviewing skills
·      Excellent editorial judgement and storytelling instincts
·      Experience working with sensitive or complex subject matter
·      Ability to work independently and manage multiple story strands
 
Details
Contract: Freelance
Location: London preferred
Start: Late March 2026
End: Early August 2026 (TBC)
