Shooting Producer
Description
Firecrest Films is looking for an experienced Shooting Producer for an immersive, talent-led, social-issue documentary.
The start date would be from April for 6-8 weeks and the candidate must be Scotland-based. There will be travel across the UK during filming.
The documentary will explore a contemporary social phenomenon and so the successful candidate will have a passion for social issues and an understanding of how they manifest across social media and in our real lives. The successful candidate will have experience producing on network talent-led documentaries and will be able to demonstrate a real passion for storytelling and bringing ideas to life.
They will have strong editorial skills; shaping narrative, recognising key themes and identifying contributors. They will be adept at gaining and maintaining access to contributors and be experienced in planning and setting up filming. They will be experienced and confident working with on-screen talent to bring these ideas to life. They will be organised with paperwork and confident on location and confident driving.
The candidate will be shooting alongside the presenter/PD on this film, therefore the successful applicant will be an experienced self-shooter, be able to demonstrate visual confidence and flair and will be able to provide examples of their shooting for network broadcast.
This role would also suit a DV Director on the cusp of becoming a P/D. There will not be an edit attached to this role.
