*SERIES EDIT PRODUCER – DRAGONS’ DEN SERIES 24
    (14x60, BBC ONE & iPlayer)

Contract Dates: April - December 2026
    Edit: Remote or hybrid working
Closing date for applications: Sunday 15th February

BBC Studios Entertainment Productions is seeking a seasoned Series Edit Producer, with a strong track record of leading multiple edits on major primetime BBC series, to work on BBC One’s flagship programme Dragons’ Den.

This is a creative, hands-on position for an experienced and confident team leader who can deliver clear editorial direction across multiple offline edits and finishing suites, ensuring edit producers and editors remain focused, motivated, and aligned to meet a demanding production schedule.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast turnaround environment, expertly juggling competing priorities while guiding a high performance team to deliver standout BBC One entertainment content. They will combine creative ambition with rigorous attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and navigating complex compliance and contributor duty of care requirements on a high profile series with significant reputational considerations.

This role demands a blend of creative vision, strong managerial oversight, and exceptional organisational and communication skills.

    Experience Required:

    • A senior, highly experienced Series Edit Producer with strong collaborative leadership credentials. This edit is particularly complex and requires someone who has extensive hands-on experience at this level.

    • Extensive experience overseeing edits on major primetime entertainment or factual entertainment series, working confidently under intense editorial scrutiny.

    • Strong diagnostic skills in identifying why a cut isn’t working, with the ability to provide clear, detailed, and actionable notes to improve it quickly and efficiently.

    • A proven track record delivering high-profile productions involving complex editorial, legal, compliance, and duty of care considerations.

    • In depth working knowledge of the BBC Editorial Guidelines and the Ofcom Broadcasting Code.

    • Confidence in guiding edit producers, editors, and production teams through narrative conundrums and compliance challenges—balancing creative ambition with editorial responsibility while upholding the highest standards of accuracy, fairness, and integrity.

    • Experience giving precise, high-polish notes for finishing editors and final post.

    • Strong scriptwriting skills with a proven ability to quickly absorb the house style and lead a team in crafting tight, punchy comm lines that sharpen the stakes, clarify the story, and bring humour and wit to the narrative - while actively developing those skills across the edit team.

    • Proven experience leading teams to use music creatively and effectively to elevate storytelling.

    • Experience in establishing clear, robust post production workflows on complex, long running series, managing multiple offline edits alongside finishing suites, final post, and deliveries.

    • A strong interest in business programming is important; familiarity with business terminology is desirable but not essential.
