Assistant Producer (AP)

Description

We are looking to grow an assistant producer into the role of producer (non shooting). You will be a diligent and dedicated AP that has extensive experience in documentaries and at least two credits in crime – ideally for a network broadcaster. You will ideally have a background in journalism with a thorough knowledge of compliance and duty of care issues surrounding crime reporting. Experience of working with police forces will be a huge advantage. Please note the content we will be dealing with will be upsetting, and while we will support you throughout, please do consider if this job is right for your own mental well being.

Within this role we will grow you to be a producer, you will oversee key stories and may be asked to direct crews or interviews. Please note you will not be learning how to shoot. This role is based in our Cardiff production office with the aim of growing Welsh talent, so please only apply if you live nearby.
