Edit Producer
Description
EDIT PRODUCERS – Dragons’ Den Series 22, BBC Studios – Glasgow
BBC Studios are looking for experienced Edit Producers for the BBC One prime time fact ent show Dragons’ Den. Now in its 22nd series, this hugely successful business reality format continues to remain fresh and relevant, reaching audiences of over 4 million per episode. This is an opportunity to be part of the edit team that helps to shape the compelling, entertaining, and informative content that keeps the show top of its game. Although it’s an entertainment series, the nature of the content can be complex, and requires edit producers who have experience of finding clear narratives from complicated rushes.
Applicants must have multiple credits as an EP, and in particular we are looking for;
• Several Fact Ent prime time credits (BBC One particularly desirable)
• Experience of streamlining rushes with multiple storylines into a clear, coherent narrative
• The ability to find the humour and drama in long business pitches and weave both into the show
• A willingness to learn about business and present it in an accessible way for the audience
• A strong sense of story and track record of crafting compelling narratives from complicated content, whilst remaining true to the footage and compliant with editorial standards.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines in close collaboration with an editor and senior team
• A confident comm writer
This is not a remote editing role, edit producers will be working in the edit suites in Glasgow.
We have various start dates and contract durations from August going through to January.
Applicants must be based/registered in Scotland.
Thanks so much everyone. Looking forward to hearing from you.
