Assistant Producer - PAYE

Hi there

I am currently an Assistant Producer and have always been paid PAYE. I am currently trying to work out my contract with a company who I think want me not to be PAYE. My understanding is as an Assistant Producer HMRC requires that you be PAYE - can anyone confirm for me?

Don't want to end up in an awakward situation down the line with HMRC, and would much prefer to be PAYE.
