Transition from branded content to Fact Ent / Docs

Hello, just wanting some advice on transitioning from working in branded content & commercials to Fact Ent / Docs. I'm a very capable self-shooter, can light, do my own sound and have the people skills to set up and engage contributors for projects. A lot of my current work is of a documentary nature but of course has a commercial client. I'm keen to explore a way to getting into Fact ent & docs without having to step back to doing a runner role
