How to overcome “you must have a minimum X credits for a prime time..."?

I’m not new working on film or video productions. I have years of experience working on commercials and documentaries. But because I don’t have Prod Dir credits as is demanded on job offers published in outlets like this, my work becomes invisible to production companies. Catch 22.
I'm in the same predicament young directors but 25 years their senior.
Do you have any suggestions about how to overcome that first hurdle?
