How do I find an open door?

I'm in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
With almost no money I've recently shoot a quite large complex feature film which I also produced.
Previously I made a few shorts and a bunch of ads/content.
But everything I've done has been for myself with the exception of being dop on a few shorts locally.

How do I get into a paid role?
Freelance/IR35/PAYE anything?
I'm 50 this year so unlikely to get a PA role (I tried.)
I've applied for everything I can.
