Sky aims to strengthen the diversity of its original productions with its first head of inclusion for content and Sky Studios.

Luke Seraphin, the broadcaster’s drama and factual PR chief, has stepped up to the role, in which they will oversee the creation and delivery of diversity, equality, inclusion and accessibility initiatives.

Sky said it created to ensure the broadcaster’s shows tell authentic stories that reflect the lives of it viewers while operating an inclusive internal structure and supporting independent producers.

Seraphin, who is genderqueer, neurodivergent and of mixed heritage, said they want to “effect meaningful and lasting change” across Sky’s portfolio and in the wider TV industry.

“I look forward to strengthening networks across our commissioning and production teams, eternal content producers, and industry bodies to ensure that Sky is a leading voice in the very necessary push to ensure meaningful diversity and inclusion in the UK TV industry,” they said.

Seraphin has worked in television PR for more than 15 years, including stints at ITV, Netflix and Premier PR.
