The TM Hub – Your Space to Connect, Share and Be Seen
The TM Hub is your dedicated networking feed on The Talent Manager - a space where freelancers and production companies across the industry can share insights, celebrate great work and stay connected.
On The Hub, you can:
- Engage with the community and make sure your info gets seen by all (not just the freelancers and companies who seek you out).
- Post about programmes you've loved or chew the fat more generally with the community at large
- Showcase yours and your colleagues brilliant work
It’s a dynamic space where you can post original content, engage with others and promote both your own work and the work of your colleagues.
With over 100,000 freelancers and more than 5,000 production companies using The Talent Manager, the TM Hub is an easy, visible way to stay on the radar of other freelancers and recruiters - not just the people who actively search for you.
- Post original content and comment or react to others
- Create a poll
- Use Talent Manager 'Reactions' (a set of industry specific expressions enabling you to more easily participate in conversations and communicate with your network)
- Ask the community a Question (Q&As are duplicated and searchable on the community board)
The TM Hub is all about community - it’s your opportunity to stay connected and informed within the industry in one friendly space and you can also access it on the go, via the TM app.
Here's some guidance on using the TM Hub:
NO JOB POSTS & NO 'AVAILABILITY UPDATES'
There are other places on the site for this.
NO OVERT SELF PROMOTION
We want to create an environment where the community can see visual content from colleagues. You are welcome to post a TX card or a trailer to a programme you have worked on (copyright permitted) and to tag in key colleagues but please don't overly self promote or spam others with info about yourself. Please give more to this feed than you take. Spam, marketing promotion, advertising, petitions, and irrelevant links aren’t allowed.
BE KIND AND COURTEOUS
Have respect for each other and each other’s comments and ideas. Healthy debates are welcome and actively encouraged but we ask that you respect each other in the group and #BeKind
DON’T SEND SPECULATIVE DM’s or Connection Requests TO EMPLOYERS
To avoid deterring employers from contributing to the feed, please do not DM or make 'connection' requests to company recruiters off the back of this feed.
NO HATE SPEECH OR BULLYING
We want to make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed. We will not tolerate antagonism, trolling, bullying, hate speech, personal criticism or arguments. Members may be removed and blocked without notice.. Negative comments about religion, race, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity won’t be tolerated. There is a robust reporting system on TM. If users see content which they think is immediately harmful to the community, they can take the content down. Other reporting mechanisms are also available. (NB If on reflection an admin deems the 'post removal' function to have been used unnecessarily the individual themself risks being muted.)
PLEASE USE THE COMMUNITY BOARD SEARCH FUNCTION
to check whether a question you have may already have been answered. And use topic hashtags when posting questions eg: #jobs #newjob #producer #jobadvert
DON'T ASK US ABOUT 3RD PARTY INFO
We’ll be sharing curated content from relevant organisations on this page too but if you have a question about that information try to direct it to that company rather than the TM support desk.
POSTING TRAINING COURSES/EVENTS
High quality professional training courses and events form reputable sources maybe promoted at the discretion of the TM Support Desk. Please ask permission first & ensure these are duplicated on our events/courses listing pages.
RECRUITMENT AGENCIES/FREELANCE TMS
Please contact the TM Support desk first before contacting members or posting.
TRY TO STICK TO THESE RULES
If the TM Support desk decides that any post to be disrespectful or against any of the above rules it will be removed from the feed. If any individual persists in posting disrespectful posts, they will be muted from posting in future and may be removed.
