This is my second episode on the current series, led by director of the Ivy, Fernando Peire. After my first effort aired last week - Maharaja Tandoori, with the unforgettable Nash (check it out on Demand 5) - this is quite a different programme. Edinburgh was a beautiful city to shoot in, and we had a ball working with the team at Iggs restaurant. Stubborn owner Iggy put up quite a fight about making changes to his beloved 30 year old business, which was obviously great fun for us. Fernando even resorted to demonstrating how his taste and attitude was too 80s - by dressing him in a shell suit! The crew, very professionally, managed to stifle their amusement at that one... And with the strange hours we were working, the team ended up in a kebab shop as our only option one night - and I had a surreal moment standing next to the MD of The Ivy ordering a doner with extra chilli at 2am. Good fun!
