Channel 4 and Pact have both announced the appointments of their next chief executives.
Taking the reins as the eighth chief executive at C4 is Priya Dogra, while John McVay’s successor at Pact is Nigel Warner.
Priya moves from Sky, which she joined last year as chief advertising, group data and new revenue officer.
In that role, she oversaw advertising sales house Sky Media, and spearheaded Universal Ads, a self-serve advertising trading platform for small businesses backed by Sky, ITV, C4 Comcast’s FreeWheel.
Dogra previously spent 14 years at Time Warner/Warner Media and Warner Bros Discovery, latterly as European president and managing director.
Describing the C4 role as “a genuine privilege”, she said:
“Few organisations sit so firmly at the heart of British culture or have such a clear purpose and vital mission: to challenge, to reflect and represent voices across the UK, and to spark change through entertainment.
“I very much look forward to working with the brilliant team at Channel 4 and with partners across the creative industries to build on its distinctive and ground-breaking programming and reporting, accelerate its digital ambitions, and deepen its connection with audiences across every platform.”
Nigel Warner
Warner, meanwhile, is a former ITV director of public affairs and co-founder of Creative Access and also sits on the Royal Television Society Events Board.
He is currently UK policy consultant for the Motion Pictures Association and is a special counsel for consultancy Lexington on issues relating to the creative industries.
Warner has also been a special advisor to Labour MPs Mo Mowlam, during her time at the Northern Ireland Office and Cabinet Office, and Tessa Jowell, when she was culture secretary.
“The work of our indie producers makes for one of the most dynamic creative sectors this country has, supporting jobs and growth all around the UK,” said Warner. “We have an indie sector that is the envy of the world and I will do everything in my power to make sure it stays that way.
“I understand this is a time of great change in the industry and look forward to meeting members all around the country, to hearing about the challenges they face and working with them, the government and our wider industry partners to build resilience and ever greater success.”
Both appointees take up their respective roles in March.
