UKTV has axed the role of chief creative officer and split its responsibilities between two enhanced senior executives.
Following the departure of previous incumbent Richard Watsham, the broadcaster has promoted Steve North and Hilary Rosen to new roles.
North steps up from chief programming officer to chief content officer and will oversee strategy, investment, original commissions and acquisitions alongside his current editorial leadership duties.
He stepped up to his existing role in 2022, having previously been a general manager for the Dave and Gold channels.
Commissioning director Hilary Rosen will assume the creative lead for all of UKTV’s original commissions and takes on leadership of the broadcaster’s production management team.
Rosen joined UKTV in 2013 as a deputy director of commissioning and previously worked at Lion Television and Silver River productions.
Chief executive Marcus Arthur said: “Steve and Hilary have already played a huge role in driving UKTV’s success within their existing remits, and with Richard’s decision to step down, I saw an opportunity to further leverage their influence.
“These new responsibilities will position them perfectly to drive UKTV to further growth through their combined strategic and creative leadership.”
The execs take on their new roles in September.
