Dancing on Ice executive producer Clodagh O’Donoghue is among a trio of commissioning editor hires at BBC entertainment.

A former Strictly Come Dancing and The Voice series editor, O’Donoghue has spent more than five years at ITV Studios label Lifted Entertainment.

She joins in January, reporting to  former incumbent Kalpa Patel-Night, who is now head of entertainment.

Meanwhile, two commissioners are joining on fixed-term contracts.

Taking up a one-year contract is Saul Fearnley, whose credits span ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle, Dated & Related and Dance 100.

Former BBC3 channel executive Suzanne McManus, who has previously overseen shows such as The Graham Norton Show and Have I Got News For You, will cover for Rachel Ashdown, who is overseeing next year’s UK-based Eurovision Song Contest, until the new year.
