We are looking for an experienced Series Director to lead a premium talent-led observational documentary series filming in London and Turkey.

Following a major music act during a pivotal chapter in their career, the series will combine intimate behind-the-scenes access with cinematic visual storytelling. The successful candidate will help define and deliver the creative vision of the project, balancing emotionally intelligent character-led storytelling with a sophisticated documentary aesthetic.

This is a highly talent-facing role requiring exceptional editorial judgement, strong visual instincts and the ability to build trust with contributors operating under intense public scrutiny. Working closely with the Executive Producer and Series Producer, the Series Director will lead the editorial direction of the series, oversee multiple filming teams and ensure every aspect of production reflects the premium ambitions of the project.

Key Responsibilities

•	Lead the editorial and visual execution of the series.
•	Define and maintain the creative style, tone and storytelling approach.
•	Direct key shoots, major set-piece sequences and sensitive contributor moments.
•	Work closely with Shooting PDs to identify and elevate storylines.
•	Drive character arcs and narrative progression across the series.
•	Build strong relationships with contributors and stakeholders.

Essential Experience

•	Extensive experience directing premium observational documentaries, docuseries or feature documentaries.
•	Strong visual sensibility and experience delivering cinematic documentary storytelling.
•	Proven track record working with high-profile talent.
•	Experience leading multiple shooting teams.
•	Excellent storytelling, interviewing and contributor management skills.

This role would suit somebody with strong shooting ability, excellent people skills and a genuine passion for documentary storytelling.

This is a highly talent-facing role requiring strong story instincts, excellent people skills and the ability to capture authentic moments as they unfold. Candidates should be confident working independently while contributing to a wider editorial vision.  

Key Responsibilities
•	Lead filming on assigned storylines and shoots.
•	Build strong relationships with contributors and talent.
•	Identify and develop stories in the field.
•	Conduct interviews and produce key narrative sequences.
•	Work closely with the Series Director and Series Producer.
