These roles require exceptional storytelling instincts and significant experience crafting high-profile natural history films for major broadcasters and global streamers.  

Applicants will have the following:  

- A strong track record of shaping compelling narratives in the edit from specially shot material, including both animal behaviour and human sync/interview.
- Experience identifying emotional arcs, building engaging sequences, and bringing clarity, structure and momentum to complex stories.
- Confidence working in fast-paced edit environments, with the flexibility to respond creatively to broadcaster feedback, implement notes efficiently, and turn around new cuts to tight deadlines.
- Strong editorial judgement and story instincts, with experience collaborating closely with series producers, execs and post teams throughout the edit process.

Applicants must have substantial edit producing experience within premium factual and/or natural history programming, with at least three relevant broadcast credits in this genre. Please do not apply unless you meet these requirements.

These are full-time roles, with staggered start dates across July and August, so please state your availability in the application. The positions are based in the Wildstar Films edit suites.

This role will involve working on location in studios and on shoots, so applicants must be able and willing to travel.  

Duties will include: 
• Ingesting, syncing and organising rushes both on location/in a studio and the office.  
• Preparing media for offline editing, including naming conventions and Avid project setup. 
• Working closely with the production team to create sequence assemblies and selects reels. 
• Maintaining project organisation, backups and media integrity across shared storage systems and location workflows. 
• Preparing, organising and managing complex edit projects and media workflows from the earliest stages of production. 
• Providing technical troubleshooting and workflow support across the team on location. 
• Supporting Editors and Edit Producers throughout offline and picture post. 
• Managing relinks, conforms, exports, consolidates and delivery materials.  
• Liaising with Post Supervisors, Production teams, DITs and external facilities. 

Ideal candidates will have: 
• Excellent knowledge of Avid Media Composer and DaVinci Resolve. 
• Experience working within broadcast post-production workflows. 
• Strong understanding of conforms, relinking, online workflows and delivery specifications. 
• Experience working with Avid Nexis and shared storage environments. 
• Strong knowledge of codecs, file formats and media management. 
• Excellent MacOS knowledge and strong technical aptitude. 
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. 
• The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. 
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and additional post-production software is an advantage. 

This will be full-time role, starting from 3rd August. The contract will be for 12 months initially.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating character-driven narratives for a family audience and be a creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with on-set crews to bring stories to life and ensure filming runs smoothly. 
  
Essential Criteria: 
•	Significant experience of studio and on-set filming with animals (at least 6 months). 
•	Strong technical knowledge and confidence directing crews on location and on set. 
•	A willingness and ability to travel for shoots is essential. 

This will be full-time role, starting from 22nd June. The contract will initially be for 10 months.
